Welcome to Droitwich Spa
Why not enjoy the Food & Drink Festival on a short weekend break to our delightful town.
The Food and Drink Festival is held in the Worcestershire town of Droitwich Spa. This year due to town improvements the festival will be held at the Lido Park. The town blends old and new and is a place of great charm and character. Droitwich has a rich history of salt production, being known in Roman times as Salinae. Today, there is still evidence of this salt history in the High Street where many of the buildings lean at interesting angles due to brine extraction.
The Droitwich Spa Heritage and Information Centre in Victoria Square hosts a Salt Museum along with the Tourist Information centre (01905) 774312 or visit the Visit Droitwich website.
The town and nearby area offers an excellent selection of accommodation, including hotels, B&Bs, Self-catering options and Caravan & Camping facilities. For more information visit the Visit Droitwich website.
During the weekend of the festival, food and drink is obviously to the fore and the town has a good range of pubs, restaurants and cafes. If you fancy a break from the festival, there’s plenty to do for all the family. Detailed further information about all these options can be found at the Visit Worcestershire website or the Visit Droitwich website.
