Lido Park Tennis

“Leave a Lido Park Legacy” is the campaign started by local Mom Elaine Ball to get the tennis courts in the Lido Park resurfaced and made safe for everyone in the town to use.

Working with Wychavon District Council, the group is dedicated to providing a facility that is free of charge to use for those who want to play the sport without having to commit to joining a club, and in order to do this needs to raise £40000 in order for the work to be completed. With help from the Council, and the support of the local community, over £33000 of the money has been raised and the project is on track to be completed by early 2018, with the courts being laid as soon after this date as possible.

In addition, the group is already organising tennis sessions at the Park, providing free, or low cost sessions for adults, children and families to make the most of the facility in the town

In order to raise the remaining money, we need the support of the people and business community of the town to sponsor a square of the courts in their own name, the name of their company, or on behalf of anyone else if they wish. Once completed, a permanent weatherproof board will be erected next to the refurbished courts showing the names of all sponsors who have helped for years to come.

To find out more, or to donate to this fantastic local cause, visit us at the tennis courts on the day or at www.lidoparktennis.co.uk

Come along and see us at the food festival where we will be running a number of fun tennis events throughout the day on the tennis courts in the park!!
