On the Menu at the Droitwich Spa Food Festival, 17th June

Brian Turner CBE along with local chefs will run cookery demonstrations for visitors attending this year’s Droitwich Spa Food & Drink Festival on Saturday 17th June. Brian will also officially open the festival in the Lido Park Droitwich Spa together with Nigel Huddleston on the Saturday morning, where they willtake the time to meet and greet festival goers.

Chefs’ Demonstration Programme

  • 11.00: Lizzy Hughes – Our Lizzy Vegetarian Cookery School, Malvern. How to make vegetarian and vegan food exciting, tasty and nutritious
  • 12.00: Brian Turner CBE – Celebrity Chef (1 hour demo). Brian will prepare 3 dishes – Salmon and Potato salad with asparagus and broad beans – roast neck lion of lamb with hazelnut and bacon topping and spiced fillet of veal with Provencal vegetables and Madeira sauce
  • 1.30: Stephen Hallam – Dickinson and Morris. How to make award winning Melton Mowbray Pork Pies
  • 2.30: Steve Lyons – ‘All About the Food.’ Kidderminster based Steve will demonstrate how he prepares food for private dinner parties to large corporate events
  • 3.30: Carl Sampson – ‘Sampson’s,’ Worcester. Carl who has a burger van on the A38 between Droitwich and Worcester was voted the best burger van in the UK in 2015. All his burgers are handmade to order and are mouth-watering

Festival Organiser, Patrick Davis said; “We are thrilled to have Brian Turner CBE and our other local chefs to join us for the day on Saturday 17th June.  They will demonstrate a wide variety of skills to make it a must attend programme for all lovers of good food. All demonstrations are free to attend but make sure you get there early to get a seat.”

The Droitwich Spa Food & Drink Festival is run by a committee of volunteer representatives and is supported by Wychavon District Council and Droitwich Town Council and Local Businesses.
